The Body Shop all-in-one BB cream in 01
Urban Decay Naked palette in Sin and Naked
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless mascara in Black

Super quick and simple make up look today - with all the attention on the lips.

For my skin I used my new BB cream, which is colour adapting so very cool indeed. It goes on white and then blends out to the right colour for your skintone. So far I'm liking using it and hopefully a review will be up soon! Then I finished it off with my standard under eye concealer and powder.

I'm never one to wear eyeshadow during the day but I decided to wear Sin from the Naked palette over the lids and blended it out with Naked. Just a slick of eyeliner and a few coats of a new mascara I'm trying out - so far I'm impressed but I'll give it a little longer to really test it out!

And then with the lips I went for Revlon's matte lip colour for a pop - I'm wearing a monotone outfit so wanted a colour pop to brighten it all up. I love this colour but I find it seeping into dry spots if you don't prep with lip balm first!

beauty | soap and glory 'archery' for brows

Brows is the one part of my make up routine that has never changed - until now. I've always used an angled brush and powder just because I loved how soft the look was it created, but on a recent trip to Boots flipped this amazing product into my life.

Soap and Glory have been a brand I've been a little bit in love with - I've reviewed their Supercat eyeliner in the past and still use it everyday - so when I saw this brow product I didn't even think about it before throwing it into my basket.

The Archery brow tint and precision shaping pencil is double-ended with a waxy brown pencil on one side and a fine-nibbed brow tint on the other. I generally go through with the pencil side first to add colour and shape to my brows before going around the edges with the brow tint to create realistic hairs around the edges and front of my brow.

As you can see from the swatches, neither of the sides of the pen are highly pigmented - but they offer just the right amount and you can't go overboard with this product at all. The product comes in two shades - 'Love is Blonde' and 'Brownie Points' - mine is the latter. My favourite side is definitely the brow tint - it creates brow flicks which are so realistic that they look like real hairs.

This product really does blow my mind - and it has really good lasting time as well. I'n not surprised by how impressed I am just because all of the Soap and Glory products are so good.

What do you think?

The Soap and Glory Archery brow pencil comes in two shades and can be bought from Boots here for £10.00.

the beauty post | FOTD

 B A S E

After applying my daytime moisturiser I went in with my Garnier BB cream. I don't usually wear anything but powder and concealer usually, but my skin has been getting really dry so I used this today for a bit of moisture. I do really like this BB cream and I use it in the colour 'light' - I've reviewed it here. I then use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes (review here) and the Collection concealer on any red bits. These are both my number one concealers but find that they can settle into lines so set them into place with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder (review here). I have this in the shade 'transparent' so I can use it whatever skin tone I am!

I then move onto my eyes and use my Holy Grail eyeliner - the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner is so easy to use and I use it almost every day without fail. I've given an entire review already on it here so I won't ramble on about it any longer! I just did a very fine line along the lashes and then a small flick on the edge. I then go onto my waterline with the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner in 'nude'. This really brightens up my eyes and makes me look much more awake than I am! I then use the Benefit They're Real mascara on the top lashes and The Body Shop Define and Lengthen mascara on the bottom. These work really well together and I think using a lengthening mascara on the bottom lashes is really flattering.

On my lips I just used the Topshop lipstick in 'macaroon'. It's just a lovely blue-toned pink and such a flattering colour. I've already reviewed it here so go check that out if you fancy!

So this is my make up today, I hope you've enjoyed reading this and having a gander at my face!

Have you used any of these products?

the beauty post: soap&glory 'a great kisser' lipbalm

soap&glory 'a great kisser' lip balm - £5.00 - boots
ever since i first fell in love with the soap&glory eyeliner i've been wondering what to try next from the range. about a month or so i decided to pick up this lip balm on a whim, as i had the 3 for 2 deal that was recently on in boots. the lip balm actually comes in 4 different flavours/shades (vanilla bean, sweet coconut, juicy peach and chocolate cherry) but i picked up the translucent coconut shade.

the first thing that caught my attention was the scent - i love anything coconut so was instantly drawn to it. the smell of coconut is really lovely and natural - it doesn't smell manufactured or is too overpowering but is just the right amount. it doesn't taste like coconut though - which i guess is a good thing as i won't be licking my lips constantly when i have it on!

onto the texture; i really can't say i liked the texture of this lip balm. it cam out quite sticky on me and so i really didn't feel like i could wear it out every day due to the wind we've got at the moment. i can imagine my hair getting stuck all through this. i also didn't notice much in terms of moisture on my lips. it seemed to just coat them rather than add moisture and get rid of my dry patches.

this lip balm was £5, which i think is a tad on the expensive side for a lip balm, as you can buy really good lipsticks for the same price, but it was free so you can't complain! i definitely won't be buying this again but i do feel like it was a really lovely product to try and i will definitely keep on using it due to the smell alone.

i think i will be keeping to my vaseline in future - moisturising and un-sticky!

have you tried this lip balm? would you?
